  • be an excellent classroom teacher who can challenge all our learners to achieve their very best
  • have relevant qualifications and experience, including a DfE recognised teaching qualification.
  • be an innovative teacher, focused on raising attainment
  • the ability to offer another DT subject, e.g. Food Technology, Graphics, Textiles or something new, would be an advantage

Please include a paragraph in your application on your philosophy of teaching, including what you believe outstanding teaching looks like.  We look forward to hearing from you.

We have a committed, loyal and talented team of leaders, teachers and support staff. As a new member of staff you will be well supported.  We see professional learning as a major strategic priority.

We are a fully comprehensive school with students from all backgrounds and abilities. Key to the continued improvement of the school is in ensuring the most able are supported and challenged, and we have a significant number of students who are talented and gifted.

In January 2024 we embarked on the next exciting phase for our school by converting to an academy, and have joined the high-achieving Bohunt Education Trust (BET) family of schools. This move ensures that we are part of a community that provides excellent education, shares best practice and provides experiences and exceptional opportunities for all of our students. We acknowledge that we are on a journey of improvement, which is well underway and are looking for dedicated teachers who wish to play a part in the improvement of the whole school.  This is a team approach and it is often commented upon how warm and welcoming staff are, and how well supported they feel. We are committed to becoming a great school and our motto of ‘be the best you can be’ applies equally to staff and students.

Bohunt Farnborough is a mainstream, non-selective, community state secondary for girls and boys aged 11-16. The school is located in Farnborough, Hampshire and has good transport links via the M3 and A331.
