Teacher of Design Technology

The role

Due to growing student interest in this subject area, we are seeking to appoint an ambitious teacher with energy and enthusiasm to join our Design Technology team.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art Academy, with excellent DT facilities. The Design Technology department enjoy fantastic workshop environments, design and computer suites which compliments the host of CAM equipment. This includes large scale laser cutters, 3D printers and CNC routers. We utilise these new technologies alongside more traditional fabrication methods in numerous projects with all years, especially GCSE and A-Level students.

We are seeking applications from candidates who:

• Can demonstrate the skills and determination to be an outstanding teacher;
• Have enthusiasm, energy and vision;
• Are passionate about their subject;
• Demonstrate innovative ideas for teaching and learning and classroom management skills;
• Have a commitment to help young people succeed;
• Have a willingness to teach A-Level.
