OVERVIEW
The European International School Ho Chi Minh City (EIS) was founded in 2009 and is a member of A-Star Education, Singapore. The school is an independent, co-educational and multicultural international school and satisfies the requirements of the Council of International Schools (CIS) for membership and accreditation status. The campus is located in a suburban district of the city and is considered a boutique “educational village” comprised of 13 renovated villas in a tropical garden setting, enhanced with purpose build facilities.
The current enrolment of the school is 570 students, approximately 200 of whom are in the Middle and High Schools. There are 46 nationalities represented, the largest representations being from Korea, Vietnam, Germany, UK and Australia. The medium of instruction and over 60% of the student body has English as a Second Language.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment. Safer recruitment practices and rigorous pre-employment background checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Teacher of IBMYP Design Technology (Grades 6 through Grade 10) with the professional capacity to expand recent initiatives in a developing programme is essential. All teachers are expected to contribute to the pastoral/homeroom curriculum and to after-school activities programme.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will have a degree qualification, preferably in Design Technology or related field. Additionally, a current teaching certificate, PGCE or equivalent and at least three years teaching experience is required for work vias purposes.
