The Role

We are looking to appoint a well-qualified, committed and enthusiastic full-time teacher of Technology to join our successful Technology, Arts and PE Faculty.  An ability to teach Electronics/Engineering to GCSE and A level Product design would be an advantage.  The Technology department achieves excellent results each year.

About St Thomas More Catholic School and Sixth Form College

St Thomas More Catholic School and Sixth Form College is a mixed Roman Catholic secondary school. The state academy is located in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, and is attended by approximately 1,000 students aged 11-18. 

In 2008, St Thomas More Catholic School and Sixth Form College was awarded the title of high-performing specialist school. It became an academy in March 2015, when it combined with six other North Warwickshire schools to form the Catholic Multi Academy Company. The school is the only Catholic secondary school in North Warwickshire and has recently built a state-of-the-art sixth-form centre, with the capacity to hold 250 students.

Christian values are emphasised throughout the school’s curriculum. St Thomas More aims to provide every student with an outstanding education so they can succeed in later life. Teachers seek to provide diverse learning opportunities in a Catholic context. 

The school aims to foster a feeling of community, encouraging all pupils to treat each other with care and respect, and to become mature, responsible members of society. These ideals are often reflected in the activities the students take part in, such as collecting food for the homeless.

"The majority of students make good progress in both their academic and personal development. The school has a track record of high pass rates in examinations and of students making good progress. Teaching and learning are good in all areas of the school and some teaching is outstanding. Teachers are enthusiastic and display excellent subject knowledge, and students are interested and learn well as a result."
