A vacancy has arisen for a Teacher of Drama. We are looking for enthusiastic teachers who are committed to excellence and ready to work in a dynamic part of Scotland. This is a Fixed Term post of a duration not exceeding 2nd July 2017.
This post is regulated work with protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
Please note that the grade for this position may be subject to change. Promoted Teaching Posts that meet the criteria will be resized on an annual basis, in line with the SNCT Handbook. Any grade change will be effective from 1st August each year.

Inverurie Academy is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form situated in the town of Inverurie, Aberdeenshire. It is a community state school. There is a school roll of around 1,100 secondary students between the ages of 12 and 18.
At the heart of the Inverurie community, the new community campus was opened in 2020. With state of the art facilities including science, food and design technology departments, specialist SEN facilities, general teaching spaces, sports facilities, reception, library and offices.
