ICS is looking to appoint a Teacher of Drama and Head of Arts to join our young, cohesive and friendly team from August 2018. Applicants should be UK qualified (or equivalent), and able to embody the school’s core values at all times. They should be optimistic, open-minded and collaborative, and always reflective on their own practice and how it can better meet the attitudinal and aptitudinal needs of each and every student.
The Arts Faculty is comprised of Drama, Art, and Food & Nutrition, and all three subjects are taught in mixed-ability groups of up to 20 students in Key Stage 3. We offer all three subjects at IGCSE, and Art is currently also available as an A Level subject. The successful candidate will be an inspirational and outstanding Drama teacher with the strategic vision to shape and grow their own faculty. They will also be demonstrably able to lead a variety of industry-standard, dramatic performances and productions each year, and will be instrumental in leading the school’s Arts Week and annual Art Exhibition.
