Job overview

We seek to appoint an outstanding Drama/Dance teacher to join our Performing Arts Faculty, which is a strong and dynamic team who are committed to delivering innovative and inspirational lessons to all students.

The Faculty has creativity and expression at its core, providing students with the opportunity of studying a variety of performance styles in a fun and engaging curriculum. We enable students to experience live performances and for them to perform themselves, developing their confidence and interpersonal skills.

During year 7 and 8, all students study both Dance and Drama.  At key stage four and five, students are able to opt to take BTECs in Dance or Drama, whilst we have also recently introduced BTEC Musical Theatre into the subjects offered at key stage four.

The faculty is also heavily invested in extra-curricular provision; dance club, drama club and various performance throughout the year, including seasonal shows, whole-school musicals and cross-academy events.

The School is able to offer bespoke CPD packages to support all teachers, making this a great opportunity for newly qualified teachers or more experienced colleagues seeking to further their experience. A TLR may be considered for a candidate with suitable experience.

If you relish a challenge, have a passion for learning and believe that you could contribute to our Performing Arts faculty, we would like to hear from you.

Visits to the school are welcomed and encouraged, please contact the Principal’s PA, Suzanne Prior on 01889 802440, if you would like to arrange this.

Closing date: Sunday 31st March 2019

The Hart School are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will have to undertake relevant safeguarding checks.
