Teacher of Drama
Required for September 2019 a well-qualified and highly enthusiastic teacher is sought to join a successful Expressive Arts Department teaching drama. All students study drama at Key Stage 3, with many opting to extend their studies at GCSE and Advanced level. This is an exciting opportunity for an NQT or experienced colleague.
Applicants must be skillful practitioners, strong in theatre skills, with good subject knowledge, able to plan, prepare, co-ordinate and participate in lively lessons and extra-curricular activities.
Facilities include 3 drama spaces in addition to the performance area of the Main Hall. Expressive Arts are a strong feature of the school with good practice highlighted in the school’s recent inspection.
The Arnewood School is a high achieving Academy, attractively situated on the Hampshire/Dorset border, 10 minutes from both the New Forest and the sea. The Drama department is both successful and forward looking. The Arnewood School is judged OfSTED good with post-16 results in the top 10% of school in the UK.
