We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to join this highly successful department, covering maternity leave for a period of at least two terms from September 2018. The post is full time. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching a variety of age groups and support the department with extra-curricular activities. They will be able to teach across all year groups, up to and including A Level. Above all, we are looking for a teacher who has the ability to motivate and inspire pupils of great potential while bringing an equal level of enthusiasm to teaching across the full ability range.

• An outstanding classroom practitioner with a passion for teaching Drama. • Have the ability to work with a team of experienced and talented colleagues.
• Knowledgeable of successful and innovative teaching and the latest curriculum developments in Drama.
Colfe's has a lively and thriving Drama department, and it is a popular choice at GCSE and A Level. The department currently consists of the Director of Drama, a Teacher of Drama, and a full time Theatre Technician. All pupils take Drama for one period a week in Year 7 and Year 8. In Year 9 pupils opt for three creative subjects and the majority choose to continue Drama.
The subject is popular at both GCSE and A Level.
GCSE and A level performances are well attended, as are major school productions, House Drama and plays produced by different year groups. Recent productions include ‘The 39 Steps’, ‘Romeo and Juliet’', 'School of Rock' and 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat'.
