Maternity cover • Part-time, working Tues/Weds/Thurs 

This is an exciting post teaching drama at GCSE, plus Theatre Studies at A Level. You will need excellent subject knowledge and the ability to enthuse students to be independent and creative learners. Your role will be predominantly focused on the delivery of devising, practical and theoretical elements across KS 4 & 5 with the delivery of some topic-based skills lessons across KS3. 

We are looking  to appoint a specialist teacher with the skill set and passion to be an active member in this popular area of the curriculum. To be successful, you will be an outstanding classroom teacher who has high standards, both in terms of behaviour and quality of work, and who will maintain the success and stability of our valued department. 

You will join our expressive arts team who are passionate about the arts and promote a love of learning and engagement with their students and provide a vast array of extra-curricular activities. A motivated, enthusiastic and driven individual, you'll have the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘Students First’. 

Just 30 minutes from Sheffield and Doncaster and with good links to both the M1 and A1, Outwood Academy Portland is a thriving learning community for both students and staff.
