Who are we?

Mount St. Mary’s College is a special community with a proud history and a bright future, where staff and pupils work hard to achieve success and rewards. Nestled in beautiful and spacious grounds in the North East Derbyshire village of Spinkhill, Mount St Mary’s College is an independent Jesuit day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 11-18. The role

As a Drama teacher you will join the Expressive Arts Faculty, and teach a full timetable of Drama lessons. Pupils at the Mount enjoy a wide range of exciting extra-curricular opportunities and the Expressive Arts Faculty are a key part of that element of the School. As such, it is expected that the ideal candidate has an integral role in the organisation and direction of whole school musical productions. With the support and trust of the senior leadership team and great facilities, the drama department enjoy small class sizes ensuring maximum participation, learning and creativity!

You

The ideal candidate will have a creative, positive and flexible approach to delivering the Drama syllabus and it is essential they are a drama specialist with the ability and experience of teaching key stages 3, 4 and 5. You must have qualified teacher status.

You will ideally have knowledge of the GCSE and A Level EDUQAS specifications, which will ensure you can hit the ground running when teaching our enthusiastic and talented pupils. Knowledge and experience of the Arts Award qualifications is also desirable, but not essential.
