Outcomes for students have improved hugely over the last 6 years across all measures; for example, the proportion of students achieving a grade 4 or better in English and mathematics has risen by over 30% during this period. We are now performing at or above the national average across the board and are one of the top performing schools in Barnsley. Outcomes will continue to improve, with Ofsted stating that “Attainment and progress demonstrate rapid improvement for current pupils”.

We were delighted to receive a ‘good’ judgement in our recent Ofsted inspection. Inspectors recognised that “Staff morale is high” and that “A well-considered programme of professional development ensures that staff continuously improve their skills and knowledge”.  We are very proud of the way in which we have transformed the school in every possible way and you can be part of the next stage of our journey.
