Job overview
We are looking to appoint an outstanding DT teacher with a Hospitality and Catering specialism. The Art & Design Technology Department is a successful and popular subject area within the Academy. We are now seeking a new member of the team with the enthusiasm and drive to teach Hospitality and Catering alongside DT and to help support the development of the department further.
Our ideal candidate is one who has excellent subject knowledge and a determination to ensure the pupils they teach are able to make demonstrable progress. If successful, you will be joining a dynamic team which offers a wide range of disciplines including Art, Photography, Design Technology and Hospitality and Catering. The ability to also teach Art or another DT subject would be advantageous.
The candidate must be a compelling communicator with an ability to champion the subject to pupils with a fully comprehensive range of abilities. You will also bring real energy and dynamism to the role, alongside genuine enthusiasm and passion for your subject.

Haberdashers’ Academies Trust South is a multi-academy trust with five primary and four secondary schools in and around south-east London. These are currently organised as four ‘clusters’, Crayford Academy is part of the Bexley cluster which provides schooling for children aged 3-18 with over 1600 children in three schools: Crayford Academy (secondary), Crayford Primary and Slade Green Primary.
