Runshaw College is one of the most successful colleges in the country, renowned locally and nationally for our outstanding results, a friendly and supportive culture, and a focus on putting the student at the heart of all we do.
We value our staff and students highly, and invest heavily in their development, support and wellbeing. Situated in Leyland, Lancashire, the College is near the M6, M61 and M65 and within commuting distance of Manchester, Liverpool and the Lake District.
Due to the introduction of the T Level in Education and Early Years this September, the School of Health Care and Childhood Studies is seeking an experienced teacher of Early Years, Education and Care, with the possibility of additional Curriculum Team Leader responsibility. This is an ideal role for someone who has a passion for Early Education and for providing students with an outstanding learning experience. To be successful you will need both a qualification and industry experience in Early Years Education and Care, and to be dynamic and innovative in your approach to delivering both the course and the broader curriculum. Experience of delivering exam-based units that require student recall through retrieval practice would be an advantage, as would experience of the T Level Education and Early Years Qualification.

About Runshaw College
Established in 1974, Runshaw College has grown significantly from its humble beginnings as a Sixth Form College with just 450 students. Over the past 50 years, we have evolved into a comprehensive Tertiary College, now serving over 6,000 learners and supported by a dedicated team of more than 650 staff members. Our commitment to teaching, learning, and student needs has earned us a national reputation for educational excellence.
As the only college in the country to have won the European Quality Award for Excellence, we were subsequently awarded Beacon College status by the Department for Education. Our offerings include an impressive array of over 40 different subjects, making us one of the country’s largest providers of A-Level courses. In addition to our sixth-form curriculum, we offer a wide variety of vocational courses spanning Entry Level to Level 3, numerous apprenticeships in collaboration with local employers, and adult learning programs to cater to our community’s needs.
At Runshaw College, we take pride in our robust relationships with a diverse range of employers. Together, we co-create an agile curriculum designed to address skills shortages and cultivate a highly skilled, employable workforce for the future. Our students consistently achieve some of the strongest outcomes nationally, progressing to prestigious destinations such as Oxford and Cambridge Universities, as well as pursuing careers in Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Science, and renowned conservatoires.
