The course is very popular with a total of approximately 160 students currently studying A level Economics, with an increasing trend of student intake and interest. The department consists of two specialist teachers, which prides itself on the high quality of its teaching and learning and the support it provides to students. Over the last four years; teaching, learning and assessment practices have been re-developed, which has resulted in an increase in the performance of students.

We are constantly seeking ways to improve the high standards set and to broaden the students’ experience. There is an increasing trend in students choosing economics for further study once they leave Holy Cross, with increasing numbers of students working towards applications and offers to Oxbridge

We are seeking to appoint an innovative, enthusiastic and skilled teacher to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.
