Outstanding outcomes provide our students with the opportunity to continue their studies at prestigious institutions; students at Highlands regularly receive offers from medical schools, Oxbridge and Russell Group universities. We are a Teaching School, which means that the government has recognised the strength we have in terms of teaching and learning, developing teachers and supporting other local schools. We are very popular, with over 800 year 6 parents choosing the school as their first or second preference in 2019. Colleagues joining Highlands are joining one of the most popular and successful schools in north London.

The work we do at Highlands is underpinned by our values: determination, aspiration, respect and equality (DARE).

Are you an inspirational teacher looking to join a fantastic Humanities team?

The department prides itself on extending students’ learning outside the classroom and has hosted conferences from the Adam Smith Institute and Institute of Economic Affairs.

The business department at Highlands is well-resourced, successful and supportive. We deliver inclusive, enriching and challenging lessons to all our students in KS4 and KS5. In the Sixth Form, students follow the Pearson BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business award over two years.  Students follow the new Pearson BTEC Enterprise Level 1 and 2 Tech Award.
