Job overview

Teacher of Economics & Business Studies –MPR

Required Easter or September 2019

Moulsham High School has an excellent academic record, a genuine commitment to the welfare and development of staff, and high expectations of student behaviour.  The school was inspected in 2015 and was described as good overall, with the potential to become outstanding in the near future. The ‘Real Schools Guide 2018’ places the school in the top 10% of all schools nationally.

• Are you a well-qualified subject specialist and an inspiring classroom practitioner who would relish working with students whose attitude to learning is exemplary?

• Would you like to be part of team which already has a proven track record of success and is working towards being outstanding?

We are looking for a teacher, with a commitment to continuing professional development, to join our Economics and Business Studies team.  Both Economics and Business Studies are very popular options at KS4 and KS5 and exam results are strong.   Each teacher has his/her own base which are adjacent to each other and equipped with thirty computers.

The successful candidate will be asked to teach both Economics and Business Studies up to and including A Level.  Candidates with an Economics degree who may not have a Business Studies background will also be considered.

The post is suitable for either an NQT or a more experienced candidate.  NQTs teach a reduced timetable and follow an excellent, year-long induction programme led by an Assistant Headteacher.

Moulsham High School has a close working relationship with an on-site early year’s childcare provider. This enables staff working at the school to receive a discount if full day nursery or wrap around care is required. Visits to the school prior to application are most welcome.  Please contact Kevin Adams using the details below, to make an appointment.

Closing date: Wednesday, 6th February 2019

Application form and further details are available from the school website www.moulshamhigh.org
