The Stamford Schools are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Economics (and Business Studies). Applications are welcome from individuals seeking a first post, from more experienced teachers, or from those who are looking to gain a teaching qualification whilst working. The candidate will have a good degree, strong subject knowledge, be confident in using ICT, and be comfortable working in an environment where students are encouraged to challenge the views of others. Candidates will have a willingness to get involved with all aspects of the department and have a desire to try new teaching and assessment methods. They will have excellent rapport with young people and high expectations of themselves and their students.
A willingness to offer support to other aspects of the extra-curricular life of the school is required.
We are looking to appoint a Teacher to start in January or April 2022. The role is a full time position but part-time or temporary cover may be considered.

This restructure is giving us the opportunity to look at all aspects of school life with fresh eyes, and we are looking at everything from how we provide the best possible pastoral care to how we shape the timetable, how we make best use of our estate, to how AI can support classroom learning. It is a big change, but a once in a generation opportunity to really set up the School for the next hundred years.
