The Mount School York is looking to appoint a highly motivated teacher of A Level Economics and Business with effect from September 2021, or as soon as possible thereafter.


The post is part-time, in the first instance with an initial 20% - 30% timetable, teaching an hour or two each day across three days a week. There may be a need for the percentage of teaching to increase moving into the following academic year, depending on the future uptake of the subjects.


There is also an opportunity for a suitably experienced candidate to combine the Techer of Economics and Buisness role with a role as Head of Sixth Form. The Sixth Form at The Mount, called College, is a centre for academic excellence with students going on to study at a range of top universities both in the UK and abroad. The successful candidate will work closely with the College Tutor Team to support students through the UCAS process and prepare them for life beyond school.

They also noted on the ‘ethos of tolerance and care for others found throughout the School’, an ethos permeating form our Quaker Heritage.
