Teacher of English Alton School is a leading independent day school in Hampshire. We provide a high quality academic education for each of our students whilst never losing sight of the individual. This is an opportunity for a dynamic, imaginative and inspirational full-time teacher to join this happy and successful school to teach up to and including A Level. This opportunity would suit a teacher with vision, drive and enthusiasm.
The English Department is currently a team of four and the successful candidate will be someone who has a proactive, ‘can do’ attitude towards the continuing implementation of change and development of schemes of work. It is an exciting time for the department and we are looking for someone who is keen to work collaboratively, take on subject specific extra-curricular responsibilities, share best practice regarding teaching and learning, and develop their own teaching practice and leadership skills. We welcome English graduates, experienced teachers, NQTs and we also offer the ITT programme.
GCSE results have placed the school at the top of Hampshire League tables and the thriving Sixth Form also achieves excellent success at A Level. Salary dependent on experience and qualifications Please go to the school website
