Job overview
We are looking for a Teacher of English and Drama at Nunthorpe Academy.
We require an energetic, inspirational and talented teacher with a genuine intellect and a passion for English and Drama.
We are a large, experienced English faculty with 11 teachers. Please see the attached job profile for more information.
Drama is a popular subject at Nunthorpe. We have strong numbers at GCSE and A-Level, as well as a thriving extra-curricular provision which encompasses an annual musical performance, KS3 drama club and one-off plays for specific year groups. We have specialist drama rooms, a sixth form studio for practical work and a large stage in our main school hall.
This post would suit an experienced teacher looking to further develop their career. The post would also suit an ECT who is looking to develop their skills and careers. We can offer regular whole academy career development opportunities for candidates who are keen to widen their experience.
The successful candidate will have the ability and potential to consistently deliver high quality lessons and be ambitious for the achievement of every student in their care.
Required from: September 2023 for an ECT (June if available) or as soon as possible for
a qualified teacher.
