As a result of school expansion, due to five years of outstanding academic results (currently ranked 15th in The Times 2015 A Level League Table and 4th out of all coeducational boarding schools – www.best-schools.co.uk), we are seeking to recruit an additional Teacher of English as an Acquired Language.

Ruthin School is a small boarding school in North Wales (currently 305 pupils, expanding to 360 in September 2016). Pupils choose to come to Ruthin School to gain entry to top ranking universities.

The post will consist of teaching EAL classes to pupils preparing for entry to top UK and USA Universities as well as teaching EAL to younger pupils aged 11-16.

For a suitably experienced candidate, additional responsibility (Head of EAL) may be available.

We are looking for a well-qualified (a good degree from a reputable university – PGCE/QTS not required), experienced, graduate who is able to teach highly motivated, academically talented pupils. There are currently 156 pupils in our Sixth Form (with this number set to rise in September 2016).

The School is investing in facilities to address the recent increase in pupil numbers.
