Wootton Upper School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated Teacher of English to join a dynamic and supportive department. The successful candidate will be a confident classroom practitioner with a clear commitment to helping students reach their full potential. 

The position is suitable for either a teacher wishing to start to their career, or a more experienced practitioner looking for an exciting new challenge.

Closing Date: 9:00am Monday 31st October 2016  

Interview Date: Interviews will take place between 3rd and 7th November 2016.

The shortlisted candidates will be required to teach a 30 minute lesson to a year 9 class. The focus of the lesson will be preparing students for a piece of descriptive writing using a photograph or picture of your choice for inspiration.

Wootton Academy Trust  is a multi-academy trust made up of two academies:

Kimberley 16 - 19 STEM College - opened as a 16 - 19 Academy in 2013, specialising in Science and Mathematics. The College has over 650 students, over thirty different Level 3 courses and is the largest sixth form provider in Bedfordshire. It has featured regularly in the Sunday Times list of top performing sixth form colleges; The College is expected to continue growing with an anticipated 750 learners being on roll in September 2024.

Wootton Upper School is a 900-pupil academy with three-year groups [Years 9 -11]; it enjoys a reputation for excellence in the core and in the arts; it offers learners a liberal curriculum with a high degree of individual choice for learners to specialize in Key Stage 4 as well as a very diverse array of trips and visits.
