Berwick Academy is looking to appoint an inspirational Teacher of English for September 2017. Applications are welcome from experienced teachers and NQTs
Berwick Academy is located midway between Edinburgh and Newcastle on the east coast mainline and serves the beautiful coastal community of Berwick upon Tweed in north Northumberland. We are a co-educational academy for pupils aged 13-18, with 630 pupils approx.

Ideally you will be:
- An enthusiastic and dynamic English teacher with a commitment to academic excellence
- The successful candidate may be required to teach across all three Key Stages and experience of teaching A Level would be an advantage.
- Able to demonstrate thorough lesson planning, enthusiastic delivery and detailed assessment

Berwick Academy serves the town and rural area of Berwick-upon-Tweed in North Northumberland. It is a small, friendly school with approximately 500 pupils aged 13-18, including approx 99 in the sixth form. Our pupils achieve good results, which facilitate progression onto their chosen future course, whether that is employment, apprenticeship or University education.
