Harris Academy Falconwood opened in September 2008. The Academy’s specialisms are Enterprise and Sport with a ‘can-do’ ethos of always improving upon your personal best. Our accommodation since September 2011 has been a new purpose built Academy to the value of £25 million.

We are looking for a dynamic Teacher of English who will make a difference to Harris Academy Falconwood during this exciting and challenging time.

A responsibility allowance may be available for a suitable candidate with relevant experience. The successful candidate will be required to teach across the key stages. This role is suitable for NQTs.

What we are looking for:

  • The ability, drive and enthusiasm to make a difference to students and young people from Bexley, Greenwich and the surrounding area
  • The drive to help build on the Academy’s outstanding first eight sets of GCSE results.
  • The ability to teach across the key stages

School summary

Harris Academy Falconwood is an 11-18 co-educational academy for 1,100 students. The academy opened in September 2008 on the site of the predecessor school. Harris Falconwood benefits from a brand new, state of the art £25 million building offering the very latest facilities and equipment. Ofsted judged the academy to be Outstanding at both its inspections in 2011 and 2014.
