Teacher of English

Endeavour Federation is looking for a dynamic and passionate English teacher for our Meade Hill School, with excellent subject knowledge, who can deliver outstanding English lessons to pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The successful candidate will co-ordinate English at Meade Hill School, whilst working collaboratively with other English specialists across the Endeavour Federation, having a resolve to make a real difference to our pupils, setting a level of challenge for all abilities across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. In addition, the role involves delivering aspects of the emotional curriculum and PSHCE to an assigned form group. As Meade Hill is a small school, there may be a need to deliver other subjects. 

 Skills

• Teach English across KS3 & 4 with a vision to develop the curriculum to further meet the needs of our learners
• Have an excellent understanding of assessment in English, using this to improve outcomes for all learners
• Develop high interest activities, to make English come alive to this SEMH cohort
• Understand the importance of high-quality planning, preparation and marking, to achieve the best outcomes for all pupils
