A well-qualified, inspiring and dynamic teacher is required to teach English.
About 90 girls study the subject at Advanced level or at Higher Level as part of the IB Diploma Programme, with many of them choosing English related degree courses at leading Universities.
The successful applicant will be part of a team of thirteen specialists in their subject discipline in a department that is well resourced, and where full support with induction and CPD is provided. The Department is proud of its lively, collaborative and diligent approach It aims to get the best from its students in ways that are both intellectually demanding and caring, that results in a dynamic atmosphere both in the classroom and in its many co-curricular enrichment opportunities that are on offer.
All teachers are expected to contribute to the broader co-curricular life of the College, but there are no residential duties.

College first opened its doors in February 1854 with the purpose of providing girls with a thorough academic education.
