The English department comprises of 7 specialist teachers who teach all students at KS3 and KS4 and with over 50 students currently studying English beyond GCSE working towards A level English.
Our staff are well-qualified, talented and dedicated professionals. Our teachers are specialists in their subject areas and are supported by a senior leadership team which consists of the Principal, two Vice Principals and five Assistant Principals (including the SENDCo). Each faculty area has a Director of Learning and Associate Heads of Faculty for English, Mathematics and Science. Our support staff complete a variety of roles both classroom based, pastoral and whole school in areas such as finance, administration, exams, human resources, IT and facilities.

We are seeking a passionate and innovative specialist teacher (NQT or experienced) who is proactive in continually developing their practice. The successful candidate will join a supportive and committed team and teach across the age and ability range, with the possibility of teaching some A level.
What we are looking for:
• Appropriate experience of teaching classes across the age and ability range
• A well organised person, in planning and delivery
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents and staff
• A good listener who relates well to young people, with effective positive behaviour management skills
• Wider knowledge of current educational issues
• Familiar with AQA GCSE and/or OCR A Level English Courses
