Teacher of English

Chulmleigh Community College is seeking to appoint an ambitious, talented and inspiring classroom practitioner to teach English across all ability groups in KS3 and KS4. The successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate our ambitious and hardworking students.

This is a full time, permanent post, suitable for an experienced teacher or a highly motivated newly qualified teacher wishing to join a team of specialists who ensure a high standard of teaching, learning and achievement. This post is available from September 2018 and is partly in response to increased provision. 

The English Department at Chulmleigh has a proven track record of outstanding results. In February 2015 an Ofsted inspection confirmed that we are a Good College with students in all year groups making good progress in English. We aspire to be an outstanding school. In 2017 our English Progress 8 figure was +0.44 and our whole school Progress 8 figure was +0.4. The College is consistently one of the highest performing schools in Devon.
