This appointment would suit an experienced teacher or a well-qualified and inspiring graduate capable of teaching English to A level.
We would be pleased to consider applications both from experienced teachers and from those about to embark on a teaching career. Applications are therefore invited from experienced teachers of English, from newly qualified teachers or from graduates without formal training who wish to train and qualify as teachers (via the University of Buckingham PGCE).
The appointment is available to the successful candidate as a full-time post or a part-time one (working four days a week) if preferred. The trainee post is offered on a fixed-term contract, with the possibility of an extension after successful completion of the first year. The post is otherwise available on a permanent basis.
Above all, the successful candidate will have an infectious enthusiasm for the value and relevance of English in young people’s lives
