The Governors are seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic KS3/4 English Teacher to join our team. 

The successful candidate will be an excellent teacher of English but also have a particular interest in working with pupils who can display extremely challenging behaviour and have complex social and emotional needs. 

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate a high level of commitment to making a difference to pupils' lives who do present as challenging on a daily basis, but who also need and deserve a  high quality educational experience regardless of educational background and/or behavioural challenge. 

The successful candidate should be committed to working as part of a whole school team to support some of the most vunerable pupils in Gateshead. They will also need to be committed to supporting the work across the Federation with Eslington Primary School.

 As a prospective candidate you will:

• Be passionate about improving standards, learning opportunities and life chances for
       pupils

• Be an outstanding practitioner

To be considered for the English teacher position you will:

• Have experience of teaching secondary education at KS3 and KS4

• Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Have a real passion for teaching English and a desire to work in a secondary SEMH
       setting.
