The Hemel Hempstead School is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and creative teacher to join our highly successful English Faculty for September 2018. This is a permanent post and would suit a newly qualified teacher or someone wishing to broaden their experience and provides an opportunity to join a faculty that is supportive, places great importance upon teamwork and is very friendly. The faculty has its own suite of rooms and is well equipped with interactive whiteboards.
The Hemel Hempstead School is a popular, over-subscribed school sited in pleasant grounds in the village of Boxmoor, close to national rail and road links to London. An OfSTED inspection in May 2016 judged that the school continues to be good, stating: ‘The school’s values of ‘Responsibility, Respect and Relationships’ are at the heart of the atmosphere at The Hemel Hempstead School. You and your team prepare pupils to be courteous, considerate and capable young people, ready for the adult world’. There are 180 students in each of Years 7 – 11 and a Sixth Form of more than 200 taking a range of A Level and BTEC qualifications.
