TEACHER OF ENGLISH

Temporary from January to July 2018: 0.6 - 1 FTE

Are you somebody who believes that all learners can be successful, aspires to put the needs of learners at the heart of everything that you do, and sees yourself as a learner?

We are looking for an engaging and reflective English teacher to join our ambitious team in this improving school (Ofsted ‘Good’). Our English team has a strong profile in the school, with high standards in teaching and learning and a wide range of opportunities for students. We are passionate about helping young people to learn about language and literature, and hope to find someone who shares our values.

Professional learning is central to our culture and we will commit to helping you to become an outstanding practitioner, whatever your career stage. You will have your own classroom, in our smart and well resourced English and Media Centre, purpose built to a high spec in 2011.

Wheatley Park is situated just outside the City of Oxford, a forward-thinking and supportive school with an increasing track record of success, and a “Good” OFSTED rating in 2016. This is a great time to join us as we recently became members of a local school-led MAT (River Learning Trust) and are under the new leadership of Tim Martin. We have a mixed rural and urban intake and we are well supported by our community, who recognise the considerable improvements that have taken place in recent years. Our students are happy at school and motivated to succeed. Our staff work well together, providing a collaborative, professional and very supportive ethos. We all work hard, we are compassionate and we respect your life and interests beyond work.

If you would like to know more, or arrange a visit, please contact Mrs Pat Mason (Finance and Personnel Administrator) on 01865 877634 or by email to pmason@wheatleypark.org

Full details and an application form can be found on our website: www.wheatleypark.org - Get involved - Vacancies. Please note we can only accept CVs as supporting documentation when submitted along with a fully completed school application form. Please send completed applications to pmason@wheatleypark.org

Wheatley Park School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people and to preventing extremism.
