Job overview
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic mathematics teacher to join our school. We are a 4 year international boarding high school in Rome, Italy. Our students follow a US high school curriculum in grades 9 & 10 and the IB diploma programme in grades 11 & 12. We offer all English Language and Literature and English Literature in the IB diploma and seek an experienced IB Language and Literature teacher.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience in teaching English at high school level
- Have experience of teaching Drama at high school level
- Experience of teaching the IB is a requirement
- Have proven experience of differentiation in the classroom
- Create a safe and engaging learning environment
- Play an active part in the department and school community
- Have good communication and organization skills to support reporting progress of students and developing the curriculum
- Show flexibility and a high level of initiative
Preferred:
- Interest or experience in teaching drama/theatre
Key Qualifications :
- A University degree in English or related area
- Teaching certification
- Knowledge and skills in ICT

St. Stephen's School is a mixed, four-year, independent, non-denominational, boarding and day, English language international school, situated in Rome in Italy. St. Stephen's School was established in 1964 by the Rev. John O. Patterson, former Headmaster of the Kent School in Connecticut, and the first seniors graduated in 1966.
