Required for September 2019 for this heavily over-subscribed, flourishing and successful 11 – 18 Church of England Academy, an award-winning “Outstanding School” (SIAMS 2016). This year, 81% of Year 11 pupils gained at least GCSE grade 4 in both English and mathematics, and 85% of A-level students gained grades A*-C.
The English department is very successful. All pupils study GCSE English Language and Literature and rates of attainment and progress are consistently above the national average. The numbers opting to study English in our outstanding sixth form continues to grow.
The school of 1000 pupils, plus a Sixth Form of 300 pupils, is attractively and conveniently situated close to the Ribble Valley and has excellent motorway connections via M65 to M6 and M62.
