Saint Paul’s is an expanding 11-16 Voluntary Academy and part of the Wythenshawe Catholic Multi Academy Trust.

We are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and motivated teachers with a passion for their subject and an ability to inspire students. Applicants must be committed to delivering high standards of teaching and learning. Main duties and responsibilities

  • Plan, design and produce teaching materials and resources which are appropriate to age and ability and are in accordance with the school’s Development Plan and the Department Development Plan
  • Plan, deliver and review lessons which are appropriate to the age and ability of the students so as to facilitate progression in students’ learning
  • Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of the students assigned to him or her within the school’s guidelines.

You should:

  • Hold qualified teacher status
  • Hold an honours degree or equivalent
  • Have experience of leading and implementing a teaching and learning initiative in English or at whole school level
  • Have experience of leading and managing staff
  • Have proven skills in working with a wide range of pupils
  • Have experience of data tracking and analysis.

St Paul’s is a mixed, comprehensive, Roman Catholic secondary school situated in Newall Green, Manchester. Operating under the Diocese of Shrewsbury, St Paul’s is part of the multi-academy Wythenshawe Catholic Academy Trust (WCAT), which also supports three local schools at primary level. Slightly smaller than the average secondary school, it will provide 900 places for pupils aged 11-16, when fully subscribed.

The school reopened as an academy in March 2013.
