Tes are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of English on a part-time (0.6) fixed term basis from January 2022 to cover a maternity. Both experienced and newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply.

Their international colleagues support each other, sharing ideas and practices from around the world. It is an international family of over 70 schools in the UK, Europe, Latin America and Asia. There are currently approximately 400 Year 7-11 pupils on roll.

The English Department are a wonderfully collaborative team who are constantly striving to review their curriculum to ensure that it remains relevant to their students whilst giving them access to a broad range of texts from around the world. This has resulted in a wide variety of curriculum opportunities - the lockdown voices journal and the nature writing for Key Stage 3 were two very successful recent projects. They approach their teaching with really passion and through their professional discussions demonstrate the same skills they wish to develop in their students. 

They are equally adept at challenging the most gifted writers whilst taking time to support those that find parts of the subject a challenge. As their new teacher you’ll need to show a genuine commitment to ensuring all students leave with an appreciation of the importance of engaging with a wide variety of literary voices. This team has achieved excellent academic results both in terms of attainment and individual student progress.

The school are looking to recruit an exceptional Teacher of English who will have the opportunity to deliver lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. CONTRACT: Part-time, temporary (Tues-Thurs 0.6 FTE)
