At Sponne School we have the perfect opportunity for you as we are looking for an English teacher to start at the beginning of September 2018. This is a temporary position to cover the Maternity Leave of an existing colleague and would be suitable for a teacher looking for either a part-time or full-time post. This post would be suitable for an NQT or a more experienced teacher looking for a vibrant learning environment to work in.
Sponne is a successful community comprehensive school with some 1382 students aged 11-18 on roll with specialist status for Science and Music. Outcomes are very high with 80% of students gaining grades 9-4 including English and Mathematics at GCSE.
We are looking for a committed and talented teacher to join our vibrant and extremely successful English faculty team. Student achievement is very high (85% 9-4 in English GCSE and a Progress 8 score of +0.60) and the faculty is well resourced. English Language, English Literature and Media Studies are all offered at GCSE and A-level and the uptake is high and increasing.
