Teacher of English

Scholastic International School Myanmar (SISM) is currently seeking a high performing English Teacher with the ability to teach English Language and Literature to IGCSE Level for a post commencing in August 2024. Successful applicants are offered two year renewable contracts with highly competitive terms of employment and outstanding working conditions.

Requirements:

• Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, or an equivalent qualification in Education/Teaching/Training and possess relevant teaching experience;
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential.
• Ability to teach at least one of the above subjects to Year 7, 8, 9 and IGCSE or its equivalent. While experience in teaching IB or 'A' level is advantageous, it is not mandatory;
• Must possess a genuine passion for teaching and a strong commitment to assisting students in reaching their full potential;
• Should be adept at collaborating effectively within a team, actively participating by contributing ideas and sharing course materials;
• Must possess a clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or Police Check.
• An eagerness to actively contribute to Scholastic International Schools' thriving community is a fundamental requirement.
