As a vibrant and oversubscribed College, we are seeking to appoint a talented and energetic teacher to join our English team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, well resourced, friendly department and to make a difference in a school where teaching is a pleasure.

We are looking for a candidate with:

We are situated in a very pleasant rural village between Peterborough and Stamford. Student attainment in English is outstanding, with 79% of our students attaining grades 4-9 at GCSE in 2023. Behaviour is excellent and staff are friendly and supportive.

Arthur Mellows Village College is a vibrant, oversubscribed 11-18 comprehensive, situated in a very pleasant rural village between Peterborough and Stamford. Ofsted graded the College as ‘Outstanding’ for a second time in December 2014.  Behaviour is excellent and students are keen to learn, 

  • 70% of all level 2 qualifications (GCSE’s) are awarded at the equivalent of grade 4 or above.  
  • Over 20% of all level 2 qualifications (GCSE’s) are awarded at the equivalent of grade 7 or above.
  • At A level over 29% of grades are A* or A.  
  • KS5 vocational students achieved over 65% at Distinction*/Distinction

Arthur Mellows Village College is part of the Four Cs Multi-Academy Trust, which comprises of 3 secondary schools and 4 primary schools, all located in the Peterborough area.
