We are looking to appoint enthusiastic and committed teachers to join a highly successful team whose focus is always to inspire young people to achieve at the highest level possible.

You will be required to teach at least to GCSE with Post 16 teaching possible.

Tor Bridge High is a secondary mainstream school for girls and boys aged between 11 and 18. It was converted to academy status in August 2011. It is a non-denominational establishment. Tor Bridge High is based in the town of Estover in Plymouth, Devon. The school is in partnership with Plymouth University. It is also in partnership with Plym Bridge Nursery School, Cann Bridge School and Plym Bridge Nursery School.

Values and Vision

Tor Bridge High school’s motto is “stronger together, creating better futures”. In sixth form the school offers children the opportunity to study BTECs, A levels and OCR Nationals. The curriculum is balanced and prepares students for life in the modern world. Teachers aim to care for pupils in order to help them have personal development. Students are offered a wide range of opportunities at the academy. This includes the chance to gain a Baccalaureate in English.

They are committed to ensuring that students make the best possible progress in all aspects of their development. Teaching is good. Teachers have high expectations and make their lessons interesting for students. From their starting points, students make good progress in English, mathematics and a wide range of other subjects. Their achievement is good. Students’ behaviour is good. Students are considerate and respectful. They show positive attitudes to their learning. The school provides strong personal support for students. This helps them all to feel safe and improves their progress.
