As well as this endorsement Tor Bridge High has been oversubscribed for 7 consecutive years.

We are looking to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic, and committed Teacher of English to join a successful team whose focus is always to inspire young people to achieve at the highest level possible. We welcome applications from candidates who can teach English at all Key Stages from both newly qualified and more experienced teachers.

Tor Bridge High is a secondary mainstream school for girls and boys aged between 11 and 18. It was converted to academy status in August 2011. It is a non-denominational establishment. Tor Bridge High is based in the town of Estover in Plymouth, Devon. The school is in partnership with Plymouth University. It is also in partnership with Plym Bridge Nursery School, Cann Bridge School and Plym Bridge Nursery School.

Values and Vision

Tor Bridge High school’s motto is “stronger together, creating better futures”. In sixth form the school offers children the opportunity to study BTECs, A levels and OCR Nationals. The curriculum is balanced and prepares students for life in the modern world. Teachers aim to care for pupils in order to help them have personal development. Students are offered a wide range of opportunities at the academy. This includes the chance to gain a Baccalaureate in English.
