Full Time, permanent appointment 

We require a committed colleague with a real passion for the provision of quality and imaginative teaching to join an experienced, supportive and high achieving English Department (90% GCSE grades 4-9 in 2018 and 2019). 

The successful candidate will be expected to teach English Language and Literature throughout the school and across the age and ability range to GCSE. There is the opportunity of teaching A-Level for a suitably qualified candidate. As a Teaching School we warmly welcome applications from ITT colleagues and we can offer the successful candidate excellent support and professional development. 

The Willink is a high performing (P8 in 2019 was +0.4) and oversubscribed school, listed in the top ten non-selective schools in Berkshire in 2019. The school is a DfE designated Maths Hub. The school has 1130 students on roll including 180 in the Sixth Form, and is situated in a pleasant semi-rural setting south west of Reading. The school’s Ofsted judgment in June 2018 was exceptionally strong.
