Trinity Catholic High School is an outstandingly successful and oversubscribed 11-18 mixed comprehensive school with 1700 students on roll. The school is a Specialist Science and PE College and holds International School Award status. Trinity is in the top 100 non selective, maintained schools, recognized as such by the DFE in both 2013 & 2014. The school has been judged as outstanding in both the December 2014 section 48 inspection and then again, for the fifth time in succession, as outstanding by Ofsted in March 2015.

Required from September 2016 the English department requires a committed and enthusiastic full time teacher of English to join a successful and highly supportive department. The successful candidate will be able to offer English across the age range in the school.

Applications are sought from enthusiastic and committed teachers who feel that they can make a significant and positive contribution to the development of the English department and the school.

This post would be suitable for a highly motivated NQT, or, an experienced teacher who, in either case, feels they can make a significant and positive contribution to the English department and the school as a whole.

Trinity Catholic High School is a denominational, co-educational secondary school in Woodford Green, Essex. There are 1660 students on the school roll, 464 of whom are in the sixth form.

Founded in 1976, the school’s motto is "In Christ We Shall Flourish". Its most famous former student is Olympic gold-medal-winning athlete Christine Ohuruogu.

Religious teachings play an integral part in the Trinity Catholic High School ethos. The school operates on the belief that all are sons and daughters of God, equal in dignity to each other. This establishes a cohesive and tolerant community, in which students and staff alike are dedicated and resourceful in achieving their aims.

The secondary school also prides itself on being a multi-cultural, international school. Extra-curricular trips have included French and Spanish film days at the British Film Institute in London, ski trips to Colorado and Austria, and music tours of Holland.
