We are looking for a well-qualified, creative, energetic, dynamic, ambitious and enthusiastic teacher of English (with ability/willingness to teach RE at KS3 would be advantageous) to join an excellent department in a popular and successful school. Details of the department are attached. Please note that applications from NQTs would be considered. Visits to the school can be arranged.

Lacon Childe is a superb rural 11-16 comprehensive school with excellent facilities in an idyllic setting in South Shropshire. Examination results are excellent and the school was judged ‘Good’ in our most recent Ofsted inspection.

Lacon Childe School is an 11-16 comprehensive situated in the small market town of Cleobury Mortimer in rural South Shropshire. There are currently 549 pupils on roll. The school is oversubscribed in most year groups and is very highly regarded within the community it serves. The catchment area is large and pupils live in small villages, hamlets and isolated farms. Around 70% of pupils travel to school by bus each day.
The school was established in 1735 and has a strong tradition of achievement and academic excellence.
