We have an exciting opportunity to extend our dynamic and innovative English team, and are seeking to appoint a Teacher of English with outstanding potential. As a team we strive to give students the confidence to communicate effectively through the nurtured and sustained love of reading; to think critically and to develop into resilient and reflective learners.
Our Team
This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and imaginative classroom practitioner to join a fantastic team, led by two joint Heads of Faculty.
We have developed a KS3 curriculum that revolves around the reading of whole texts which cover a diverse range of writers, characters and topics.
Our English team are reflective, forward thinking and collaborative. We aim to deliver engaging and relevant content and explore all opportunities so that our students are EMPOWERED* for their life beyond Cantell, with the knowledge and skills to pursue any interests post-16.
As a consistently outstanding teacher with a real passion for your subject, you will possess the vision and drive for continuing school improvement and raising attainment. About Cantell School
Cantell School is a larger than average comprehensive school set in the heart of the vibrant and diverse City of Southampton, on the south coast. The school has grown substantially over the last five years and is projected to be at 1250 students on roll from September 2022.
