18 month fixed term contract

Ipswich Academy is seeking to appoint a Teacher of English on a temporary basis for 18 months to cover maternity leave from September 2022. You will be joining a creative, thriving team who strive for excellence. Our English curriculum is designed to be inclusive and diverse, enabling learners to explore rich and varied aspects of writing, speaking and reading. We work closely with the primary schools in the Trust and have developed a cross curricular approach to pedagogy and reading.

The Position

As a part of the english team at Ipswich Academy, you will work to establish for children, a caring environment in which each child will be nurtured and encouraged to develop their potential in maths.

Ipswich Academy is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school in Suffolk, serving students from the age of 11-16. It belongs to the Paradigm Trust, along with four other primary and secondary academies.

Formerly Holywell High School, Ipswich Academy converted to academy status in 2010. The Learning Schools Trust invested £16 million into a new building at the school, which opened in 2013, with facilities including a 3G sports pitch area. It belongs to the Paradigm Trust, along with six other academies.
