St Michael’s Church of England High School is a successful 11-18 secondary school with a clear vision to be an outstanding school for our community with high aspirations for all of our students both academically and socially no matter what their starting point. The school has a well deserved reputation for academic success and strong pastoral care for all students. The school is smaller than the average secondary school but as a result of an ever-improving reputation is continuing to grow in size and has been oversubscribed for the last 5 years. 

For January 2023 to cover maternity leave, we require a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of English to join a friendly, dynamic and collaborative department. 

The successful candidate will show the ability to make English relevant to all students and ensure all our pupils achieve the challenging targets we set them. We particularly welcome applicants with drive and energy.

St Michael's Church of England High School is a mixed, non-selective, Church of England secondary school with sixth form in Liverpool, serving students from the age of 11-18. The secondary school, situated in Crosby has approximately 690 students on roll.
