This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented teacher to join an experienced established team. This post is suitable for both NQTs and experienced teachers.  The successful candidate will be a highly committed team player, with a passion for English and understanding of the strategies required to motivate and inspire students. We are looking for someone who understands the value of high quality assessment and uses this to drive planning and progress.  The successful candidate will be expected to teach across the ability range at KS3 and KS4.  Some KS5 teaching may be available depending on experience.

The Ferrers School is a mainstream secondary academy for children aged 11-18. It is situated in Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire, and there are just under 1,000 pupils on its roll.

This is an exciting time to be joining  the the school.  We have secured improving  outcomes over the last 3 years which were validated in our recent Ofsted report (July 2021) where The Ferrers School was found to be Good in all areas. These five areas are: ‘The Quality of Education’, ‘Behaviour and Attitudes’, ‘Personal Development’, ‘Leadership and Management’, and ‘Sixth Form Provision’.
