Are you a driven, innovative and organised classroom teacher looking to join a dedicated and successful English department. The department achieves outstanding results, with excellent progress achieved at KS4 and KS5.
At KS3, we prepare our students for the new GCSE by teaching challenging content - in an accessible format - from the moment they join our Academy. Our KS4 cohorts have benefitted from our forward-thinking and collaborative approach towards adapting to the new GCSE curriculum, which has been recognised by exam boards. At KS5, the Academy offers IB English Literature and English Language and Literature.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, driven, and an excellent classroom practitioner who is committed to student success and development. There may be the opportunity for an additional responsibility for the right candidate. Experience of planning and delivering GCSE lessons is essential, as the job will involve working closely with all colleagues within the department to continue developing our existing provision. The willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities is also desirable.
